We will be be posting contact details for local volunteers and support groups who are available to help those currently in self isolation.
Kirklees Community Response
This is a collaboration of local agencies where you can offer or request support by clicking here. The response teams in local places will be matching requests for help with offers of support, so that we can work together to support the most vulnerable in our communities. Anyone can let them know about the things they need help with, or that someone who they are concerned about might need help with. Individuals, organisations and businesses can also tell them about the support they may be able to offer to others. The helpline is managed by Kirklees Direct and opened at 9am on Wednesday 25th March. It will initially be open from 8am to 6pm weekdays.
For patients living in Meltham, Wilshaw & Helme (including Healey Houses), support is available through Meltham.org with lots of useful information on the website, including a contact form if you need help or would like to volunteer.

Holme Valley South COVID – 19 Emergency Hardship Fund
Cllr Paul Davies, in collaboration with Longley Farm and Holmfirth Tech, has set up an emergency hardship fund to support Holme Valley South residents in immediate financial need.
The one off payment will help go towards basic necessities and give you immediate support while you sort out your entitlement to benefits, or the Government’s Covid 19 response payments or access to other forms of help.
The fund is not designed to be a long term solution to financial hardship, however we will also seek to signpost you towards further support where appropriate.
The fund is administered by Holmfirth Tech and an independent panel will decide whether to make a grant, normally within three working days of receiving your application.
There is also an option for residents to make a donation to the fund if they wish to.
